Shopify integration

Follow these instructions to integrate Shopify with AppLovin Ads:

Install the Shopify app

Install the AppLovin Shopify app from the Shopify App Store:

If you already have an AppLovin Ads Manager account, you can instead use the AppLovin Ads Manager to install the AppLovin Shopify app. See Installing the Shopify App with the AppLovin ads manager below for details.

  1. Search for “AppLovin” in the Shopify App Store. Click AppLovin in the search results.

  2. The Shopify App Store page for the AppLovin app appears. Click Install to install the AppLovin app.

Complete the integration

After the Shopify app installs, follow the instructions in the app to complete the integration:

If you are a Shopify advertiser who runs in headless mode, theme extension may not be available to you. In that case, skip the next three steps and, instead, click Continue without theme extension and then continue with step 4 below.

Getting Started: Enable Theme Extension. To get started, you need to enable the AppLovin Ads theme extension to attribute orders to your ads. Enable theme extension button. The app embed isn't enabled. Be sure to enable it and save the theme editor. Unlock better ad performance: This exension improves tracking accuracy so your ads reach the right customers and perform better over time. Is the shop using a headless channel? Theme exension is not supported for headless advertisers. Continue without theme extension button.

  1. Click Connect existing account.

  2. Click Connect.

  3. Click Connect again, you will see a positive feedback after connecting to AppLovin.

  4. Go back to the Shopify tab, and click Enable Theme Extension.

  5. Check that the AppLovin App embed is enabled, click Save in the top right corner to confirm.

  6. Your integration is now complete, press Continue to go to your profile page.

Installing the Shopify app with the AppLovin Ads Manager

If you already installed the AppLovin Shopify app by means of the Shopify App Store (as described above), you do not need to do anything described in this section.

If you already have an AppLovin Ads Manager account, you can use the AppLovin Ads Manager to install the AppLovin Shopify app, rather than using the Shopify App Store.

  1. Log in to AppLovin Ads Manager.

  2. Click your account name in the top bar of the page. In the account drop-down menu that appears, select Integrations.

  3. The Connect Shopify page appears. Click Go to Shopify App Store to begin installing the app.
